Almost have my Sanguinary guard/grey knight terminators based. Got my captain painted up as well and put a new head on him. Painted up one walkway bridge and some street cinder blocks.

Then got my designs for my imperial landing pad printed up and one imperial tower built. Got all my tree models put on bases and have to say they came out great. And got one wall piece based for my imperial fortress. Thank god even the gf pitched in and did some cutting. And my daughter did the glass work for my imperial windows.

All in all not bad for day two of hobby time. Still have to get to my stormtalon. It's a must and will be tackled the day after tomorrow.
Sounds like you get about much done in two days as I get done in 6 months. My vacation project has been getting these guys finished. Since I took the pic, I've gotten them primed and ready to paint.

Ought to stick a picture of my daughter's Christmas present in here too.

I got the plans for it here. Behold! http://beholdthegeek.blogspot.jp/2012/0 ... craft.html

You got her the Thor hammer. Lol. I was going to get the same thing for my friend but settled on a dwarves hammer that looked more authentic. Is it the one that makes lightning sounds?

I got a lot done in two days but only because the gf left me alone to do it. Bless her heart for giving me the best gift I could have asked for. Today she slept in and I was able to get the paint done on about 20 shoulder pads and about the same number of close combat marine arms. I also got the base paint done on a 40k bridge and a smaller building bridge. Tomorrow I really hope to get all my remaining space marine bits and arms done plus the remaining paint done on my sanguinary grey knights terms. Also have to get to the storm talon I promised I would do but hasn't come about.Argh! I was able to paint my imperial statue completely and base the ruined Aquila though. One more week off, one moreeeeee.........

It's the uberest moar killiest broken unit in the entire game of 40k. Seriously, you do NOT want to be across the table from those guys :P

As for me, what I did today, and yesterday, was stick legs on bloody mechanical arachnids. Seriously, wyrd, did anybody there consider the possibility that people might actually not want to pin every single limb individually onto their models? Or that, when they did, they might actually like them to be able to hold the weight of the mini? Jeebus!

Samguinary guard models converted into grey knight terminators. More in game terms than in the model. I really like the models and dont dig the grey knights terminators. Thus my grey knight army has the sanguinary guard minus blood angel insignia, as grey knight terminators. My army is just using the grey knight army book for my own chapter. I'm still debating wings or no wings. I was thinking of working it into the story of them swooping in rather than teleporting. A low orbit jump pack. One use only.

And got half of the stormtalon done today. Plus some work done on a bridge and a really tall fortress tower. Lol. I look at it and wonder what good is a tower that makes most weapons put of reach of the the table top. Great terrain piece but that's about it. Hope it looks good looming behind the fortress walls that are almost done.

Actually, I made the hammer out of posterboard. It makes lightning sounds if you want it to. Bzzzowwwww! Kaboooom!
Sanguinary Grey Knights. If you are lucky, maybe the rules will be in the next Matt Ward codex. Reminds me of the Chaos Genestealer Cults from back in the day. Yes, they actually had rules for what happens when a Genestealer Cult infiltrated.... a Chaos Cult. CyberMutantPossessedPsychicVampireGenestealers.....did I miss anything?

Hmm...I would say go without the wings. Terminators are not supposed to be angelic  How did you make them look like Termies? How did you bulk them up ;) ?

Lol. I saw the post for the paper hammer afterwards. Still cool.

And this is fantasy. As long as the points are paid and the other player knows what the model represents, I am cool with it. Adds to the flavor of the game.

I am Just using different models. I prefered the regular termies compared to the grey knight ones to be honest. But im never one to go with the grain. I like to personalize my army. One of a kind thing. Going with artificier armor and the wings are used as shields to give them their invulnerable save. Plus they all have force swords to give them the extra bonus invulnerable save. Again. I'm just using the grey knight codex for my own army. It wouldn't be right having grey knights as another army.
