It's a story but it could be a game. Call of Cthulhu or Strange Aeons.

Wow. It's.....mixed media. Very creative. Those the old Rafm figs? I remember a series of "Expeditons".
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....
