Next up, an Imperial Strike Cruiser.

Yeah, saw that. Don't see what role it fills that a land raider didn't do fine with 20 years ago.

So ridiculous and yet so awesome! And with a price tag like that it is sure to be a replacement for a wife or girlfriend.

I honestly think it's so ridiculous that it is no longer awesome. It's just dumb. And kinda embarrassing to be part of a hobby where such a thing is deemed marketable.

I know what you mean. It's pretty easy for me to convince myself to buy things I don't need in this hobby, but this is on a new level of ridicul-arse. You can hear them sniggering all the way from Nottingham, but a few people are actually going to buy this. Roll up roll up, you can't help yourselves!

Wow, post is free, you have to give them that. I mean, fair do's.

I was just about to post this. I dunno, if someone wants to dump 1200 pounds on a 28mm Warlord instead of a new computer or whatever, more power to 'em - although I'd want to smack them if they couldn't paint it up nice. I'm sure Carl Woodrow could make a good job of it.

I mean, yeah, if someone I knew announced their intention to buy one I'd respond with an ambivalent "...huh." But I can't deny it'd be a cool thing to have. No way I'd spend even half that much money on it, of course.
Feel free to call me Dave!

A Land Raider wasn't a display piece like that, even 20 years ago.

I don't get what all the fuss is about. There is a definite market for premium hobby goods, it seems a wise-ish move for FW to join the crowd.
I think it would be quite cool to see one in the flesh (resin?) one day. It would be fun for a special scenario or something. If someone has the dosh to pay for it, then I don't see the problem, although I do agree with Spev that it demands a decent paint job before it appears on a table top.
And NO, I am stating now, that I will NEVER buy one. Although if they eve did a Black Ark of Naggaroth.....

Course it was. Anything is a display piece if you want it to be. Plenty of people have landies or dreadnaughts or what have you as display pieces. I do appreciate that you mean the Titan is sold by FW with the specific intent for it to be displayed, but that was kind of what I was trying to say earlier - there are/were already large, impressive, displayable centre-piece models available. The Titan has a clear application from FW's point of view (make money) but no clear purpose for the end user (other than for showing off that you have 1100 quid to spend on resin)

Well, I guess there must be a few rich players out there who will buy one, pay a pro-painter to make it look pretty and then use it for gaming.
But for the likes of us, it'll just be that thing we see pictures of on the internet.
