@lovejoy - oooh, I had not noticed that. I shall be popping down the rifle-sights emporium as soon as my lasses get some cash. Much obliged to you, sir *tips hat lovejoy-wards*

Today, I did nowt, due to a wierd occurrence of something called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Somewhat worried by the long name, somewhat reassured by the presence of the word "benign". It's a bit complex, but the short version is: tiny "stones" form in the ear canal balancey bits and rub against the teeny tiny hairs in there that usually detect the flow of the fluid in there and thus give you a sense of balance. The result is that any head movement results in horrible vertigo and you either fall over or stagger wildly into the wall. Plus, the lack of balance is very nauseating, so I've spent the whole day in bed today, punctuated by random vomiting trips to the toilet. The good news: it gets better by itself. The bad news: it can take weeks and I have an end-of-term test at uni tomorrow :(

MiJ is a sick MiJ today

Ps: research is sketchy, but it seems a trigger for the condition is lack of sleep. That'll learn me not to stay up late painting secret projects :(

@MiJ, sorry to hear about the vertigo- the good news as you say is that it sorts itself out in time (my mother had it a couple of years ago). I know it can feel really bloody awful though going from her experience. Richard Herring (Fist of Fun and other comedy nonsense) has talked about having it before on one of his podcasts. He said that the doctor had mentioned the 'benign' bit, which led him to comment 'that's all very well, but it doesn't feel very f@&¥ing benign!'
Hope it's not too troublesome, get well soon.

@MiJ - Get well soon mate.

Today I got most of the work done on 4 more elite Picts for Saga. Once they're done, I'll get some pics up.

More gray. Both light and dark! I have to say, much as I love how my PHR color scheme looks when it's finished, it really leaves me with an itch to paint some, you know, colors.
Feel free to call me Dave!

@ MiJ: get well soon. The Vertigo sounds like crap. Hopefully you can use the time between bouts of crummie to get ahead on your studies.

Today I finished a full day of work. Tomorrow afternoon I take off for the sun and Miami. Hobby-wise, nothing.

@MIJ Damn feeling drunk without drinking, hope you get well soon.

Received the All quiet on the Martian Front patton tank and am slightly disappointed with the quality of the cast, they used the same resin as what they used for scenery, which think is a mistake as the resin is quite brittle

Well Couldn't get the Resin to work, so i used Greenstuff, i got reasonable results on the weapon batteries, with some fixing i can make it work

Are you sure Tequila wasn't involved? I'm pretty sure I had the same thing a little while back, but Tequila was definitely involved! And Shochu. And Nihonshu. And a wee dram o'whiskey....or three...

But in all seriousness, get well soon mate, sounds awful!
