Today, I did nowt, due to a wierd occurrence of something called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Somewhat worried by the long name, somewhat reassured by the presence of the word "benign". It's a bit complex, but the short version is: tiny "stones" form in the ear canal balancey bits and rub against the teeny tiny hairs in there that usually detect the flow of the fluid in there and thus give you a sense of balance. The result is that any head movement results in horrible vertigo and you either fall over or stagger wildly into the wall. Plus, the lack of balance is very nauseating, so I've spent the whole day in bed today, punctuated by random vomiting trips to the toilet. The good news: it gets better by itself. The bad news: it can take weeks and I have an end-of-term test at uni tomorrow
MiJ is a sick MiJ today
Ps: research is sketchy, but it seems a trigger for the condition is lack of sleep. That'll learn me not to stay up late painting secret projects
