@ J-R: Good luck treasure hunting. When you find things, its almost like getting free things, right? :D I might start one myself.

@ ToD: Lookin good.

It has been a very dramatic week with my father in-law first being transferred to a hospice and then passing away last Friday. The weekend was entirely consumed with preparations for his funeral and attending to his funeral service. Afterwards things have been kind of quiet although we've had to take care of various things that entail the passing of a person. Otherwise, just spending family time when I can.

Hobbywise, I did undercoat the squad of Skitarii, so they are ready to paint when I feel the urge.

@Job - sorry to hear about your father in law. Not much to say in a situation like that, to be honest. :|

Well, today (and yesterday evening) I actually put brush to mini. As may be surmised from my sig, I've done bugger all painting this year, mostly due to a complete lack of mojo. Dying Light didnt help, either, but regardless, the SSP has stalled and I just can't be bothered anymore.

So I did what any sensible painter would do in such mojo-less situations. I painted a goblin. Well, I've started him, anyway. Progress so far...
Image
I think I'll call 'im Batfink. I'm hoping to use him for Frostgrave (yes, yes, I know it's all humies, but a wizard is a wizard, and this lad's got a staff wi a knob on the end, and that makes him a wizard in my book. His litlle gobbo-ey mates can be thugs and barbarians and whatnot. Still working out details, but it should all be obvious once theyre painted...)

Not entirely sure what to make of the mini, truth be told. Bits are very nice, other bits (nose, I'm looking at you...) seem to be either miscast or scrappily sculpted. I suspect the former. Anyway, It's a quick and cheery paint job, so it doesnt matter too much. Hopefully finish tomorrow :)

p.s. I have also been working on my uni reports for my final course. This evening I actually wrote the line, "Overall, this play illustrates Albee’s disgust at the materialism inherent in the contemporary interpretation of the American Dream."

Quality pretentious waffle, that is. *nods sagely* Two a penny, five for tuppence, and that's cuttin me own froat...

@job my condolences.

Only put together some kingdom death pinup miniatures, have to scour the net for some pictures for info to how built the things, most are straight forward, but some have fiddly bits and multiple options

Thanks for the condolences from everyone.
