Basing infantry
Basing infantry
Hey, guys,
What do you use for basing your infantry stands? I used to use DAS modeling clay, but I have no clue if they've got that here. I've also heard of spakle and pumice gel, but again, I'm not sure where I can find that here and what name it goes by.

Re: Basing infantry
I used white glue (PVA) with some sand and some torn up pieces of cork for my Brits. When I have time I am going to go over the bases with some flock and static grass.

Tokyu Hands in Mei-eki (Takashimaya) or Hisayaodori.
Their craft section contains just about everything you could ever need for wargaming except the models themselves. (Paints, brushes, sprays, glue, resin, polystyrene etc etc etc).

Re: Basing infantry
I recommend these "sticker" pieces of static grass you can buy from the railroad floor in Joshin for 1200 yen. Fantastic stuff. Pluck a patch out with tweazers, a blub of glue and set it down. It looks great for 1/100 scale as tall grass and would probably be good for 1/28 40k stuff, too.

Re: Basing infantry
I'm really didn't, but the directions said to add a bit of glue to to each "sticker". It adhered well and no problem since. Hasn't even loss any strands.
