Nurgle? I didn't see too many Nurgle amongst the Jet bikes, Exarches, and Path finders on the table on sunday.

you were drunk. The table was full of stinkies. honest injun... :D

Nah, fair enough, there's no fooling you, obviously - eyes like gimlets. In my defence, my jetbike kill team has an average initiative of 4, just like all the space marine players out there. I've played at least half my games with that team. With regards to the Exarch KT, going first is nice, but not game-winningly nice. I mean, the opposition knows youre probably gonna go first, too. All he has to do is put his guys behind a wall, y'know? Finally, I'll play the "controversial" card and say Eldar, Slaanesh and 'Stealer Kill Teams probably should be going first, cos they are quicker off the mark than all those other slowpokes. That's what having a higher initiative is supposed to represent.

I am sure that Prime. and Pike would have no problems with this game if someone other than this Rob guy had invented it... My take on the stuff Rob makes is that he really just throws some ideas out there and then test plays the hell out of it his many armies... WAARGH

Wrong again Admiral :D

Just pointing out that there is a new version of Kill team out there. As far as I can see, they are both pretty damn similar.

If you wanted to make things really interesting you would have the individual KT members activate in turns a la Malifaux.

I do not really know how the M-fux rules work but Epic activation might work very well...

More or less the same, yeah - doing full activations of individual models and taking turns.

Where that might complicate a 40K-based game is that armies with a high model count have a huge advantage, since you can move your crap guys first then activate your better units with no fear of retribution. If you went in that direction, you might want to make cheaper troops into "fire teams" or whatever - two or three guys who add up to the points of one "regular" guy and activate together.

*raises hand*

um, i liked Mr. Rob's Kill Team rules cos they were simple. Simple is good. Fiddling about with activations and fire teams n stuff seems like an unnecesary complication, to me. We already have Malifaux for model-by-model gaming. Can we keep Kill Team dumb and fun, please?
