I have started on my Japanese fleet. There is three different colour schemes. I think that the one in the middle was the best so I started highlighting it.

The one on the right is dark grey.

I like the green of the left one and the red of the middle one.

For interest, the battleships Mikasa, the last remaining pre-Dreadnought battleship in the world might be an inspiration. The colour shceme isn't particularly exciting, right enough - battleship grey with wooden decks.

Nice! I still haven't seen any Dystopian Wars minis in the flesh, so pics are cool.

Here's everything that's still standing between me and a fully-painted 2000-point Goblin army:

Think I can do it in 2 weeks? I hope so!

...and the 2000-point Goblin Project is done! Pics in the morning when I have some good light. Man, I love big projects - nothing like getting one finished.

Next stop is 2500 points, for which I need a Giant (in the mail) and (just a few, relatively) More Goblins.

(Of course, winning games with said goblins is a whole 'nother ball of wax...)

Well done old bean. You put that other Dave (this is where it gets confusing) to shame :D :D :D
That didn't take long at all. Just in time to get a new rule book full of nasty goodies (hopefully).

Well, of course he puts me (and everyone else, but especially me and especially on this project) to shame in the individual minatures department!

Or to find out that half his army got 'squat-ed'
Seriously though, well done ToD! We're all proud of you.

I quite like the green one on the left actually.
I still need to get round to picking up a Dystopian Wars fleet. Not enough time or money at the moment though.

Oh heck, I couldn't help myself. Here's the thing in dribs and drabs. The Trolls you've seen.

Next is Spidaz:
Image
With a big tip-o-the-hat to Spevna for suggesting stripes on the legs.

And Artillu... Art... Arrers an' Rocks an' that:
Image
The stone throwers themselves are plastic, from Mantic's undead line. They fit in pretty good, I reckon!

And finally, Boyz. Lots of Boyz:
Image
(That's 2 blocks of 42, each with a Warboss and at least 1 Big Boss, plus Fanatics and - alas, the only thing in the army that isn't WYSIWYG - netters. And a couplea shamans to back them up. 'Em's a lotta warm bodies!)

Thats a whole mess of Gobbos/Smurfs you have there. Hopefully they perform as good as they look on the tabletop. A pair or Rock Lobbas is just plain mean!
I'm looking forward to seeing them in the flesh at Joshin this month.
