Daemon Army Centerpiece

Anyway, back on topic again. Does anyone have the Be'Lakor model? How does it compare in size to the Daemon Prince and Bloodthirster models?
@ Seb - What colour do you plan to paint it? Any thoughts as to a colour scheme yet?

The model is in the collectors range now. The size with wings included is about the same size as a daemon prince, just a little bit less stocky.
I haven't decided what colour yet, depends on what god I decide on.
I like khorne units and philosophy but khorne daemon princes dont get many options.
The tzeentch daemon princes however are real monsters, so i am also thinking aboit playing tzeentch... Hmmmm?!

re: fluff: having a khornate anything do anything to a tzeentch anything other than kill him really dead really fast is so heinously anti-fluff it makes me sick to even think about it. Shame! Shame on you Black Library!

Disagreed. Surely just taking one prisoner, who is probably going to die anyway, once he outlives his usefulness, doesn't go against the grain THAT much does it? I think it fits the fluff well enough, and so does GW by the looks of it. Please listen to Fireborn, its actually quite good, and the Khorne lord does successfully force some poor schumk of a chaos sorcerer to bind his champion to a dreadnought, without the sorcerer teleporting away.

But Khorne despises magic in all its forms.

Yeah, but unlike orks, I can read books.

Models with marks of khorne can NEVER be psykers or wizards.

And thats before I even look at all the old books like LatD and Slaves to Darkness.

Just because I dont PLAY an army doesnt mean that I haven't read their codex or their background. Just because you DO play an army doesnt mean that you have read their codex (beyond the lists) or their background.

And back ON topic again:
@Seb - You might want to ask Mike for some advice on fielding daemons. He has a mixed force of Slaanesh, Nurgle and Tzeentch so I am sure he can give you some pointers. Someone else has a Khorne/Nurgle army but I hear he loses to Necrons of all things so he cant be that good.

I beat mike un fluffy Daemons with necrons I really do not see why people think Necrons suck... they shoot like Marines and they come back on a 4 plus the have LD 10 so they almost never run away unless you assault them... and they have ways to stay out of assault...the are a bit over priced but other than that... they are fine...

Daemons are fine with all Khorne... and nurlgle or all one or the other as long as you add soul grinders... even an all plague bearer army is good if you do not plan on killing anything... with them... you can use your DPs to kill stuff.. the BThirster is a great unit as long as you put him on a big round bace no one will care if he is a little smaller than the actual model... I made my DP with a LOTR Balrog thanks big thanks to Prime for the model... I bought another Balrog to convert in to a second BThirster but I have not gotten around to it yet... 40k Daemons are very good in fact the guy who won second place at the UK masters 40k Tournament was a daemon player...

if you are all Khorne then you need the Flesh hounds for the speed... furies could be ok... they are un marked so you could use them in a Khone list that takes unmarked things....

Skarbrand (technically a Bloodthirster).
Juggernaughts with Fury of Khorne. (S5, Furius charge, rending = max of 15)
Bloodletter/Flesh Hound with Fury of Khorne, (max 14)
Soul Grinder
Daemon Prince.

The Grinder and the Blood Thirster have the best odds though.

A Great Brass Scorpion and a Blood Slaughterer should have a decent chance at it, too, although the former is a super-heavy vehicle.

I am gonna get a bloodthirster anyway but not more than 1 so he has to do a good job flippin' landraiders for me.

My centerpiece and alter ego in the world of warhammer will be Sebastian the Daemonprince and yes..
