This one is a Cthulu-esque skirmish game. Looks quite interesting.

Cheers for mentioning this. I picked the SA rules up a couple of months ago and have looked them over. It's a quality product, and though homespun in feel its obvious that a lot of love has gone onto it. I haven't had an opportunity to play yet, but you only need a few minis (5 or so total for a small intro game), and 2 feet by 2 of table. It has a campaign system, and seems quite solid and fun. The minis from Uncle Bob's Worldwide which support it aren't amazing, but this isn't an issue as there are tons of terrific minis out there for the pulp era. The best are copplestone, but the artizan and pulp-miniatures are also great. RAFM have some of the more outlandish mythos monsters. The best ghouls are easily from Heresy. I posted about it elsewhere in this forum. If you're interested in more details I can help! I aim to start playing this soon...

There's a demo pdf here -

Hi! I'm glad there are people here playing it. I picked it up and I have got my own cult that I've been cultivating for the sister game, Unassprechen Culten (or whatever it is)

I'd be very interested in playing this come April.

I got a little bit interested in this game reading Ennui's posts, I have no idea what the rules of this game is but are you able to create your own characters/fiction for it or are you stuck with preset/prenamed characters?

The fiction is completely up to you to come up with and it's all pretty open. Check out their forums to see what people are doing with their threshold teams. If you're up for it on Sunday I can run a demo!

I'd like to have a crack at this too if there is time.

25mm according to the website. (smaller than GW/PP models and more realistically proportioned)

Thanks Prim.

I am looking at models now Copplestone and Reaper have some nice miniatures. But I am not sure of what models could be ok to use in the game as it is set in the 1920's.

Looking briefly at Copplestone,
Gangsters,
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang,
Darkest Africa
Back of Beyond
High Adventure
would all seem to fit.

I'll be bringing along some D and D minis as I think they will make cool monsters for the bad guys. :D

Yes, great idea Prim!!

The thing about the game is that the mini sizes are not set in stone. Hell, it doesn't specify any in the rule book. The writer hopes that you'll use whatever miniature you'd like, in whatever size base you prefer.

Looks like I'll be doing a few demos, and that's totally fine by me! Each game lasts like 20-30 minutes, btw. 8-) http://strange-aeons.ca/sa/?page_id=23 The Resources page has a demo kit that should let you see what the game is all about.
