May I suggest some washes on the hair and skin?
Ogryn flesh wash will shade the skin nicely and then you can just highlight them with your base colour. Some Asurmen blue would also help with the hair.
Using Word Bearers and Daemons together? Broken! Cheesey! Just kidding, very appropriate indeed. I look forward to trying to kill all of them in a great bloody battle sometime.

Skin is elf flesh (a few with white highlight) and washed in ogryn flesh. It makes them lighter than what my guardsmen field. Asurman blue sounds like a good idea. I had forgotten that there was a blue wash
