Allow me to assist. I shall attempt to unravel his post into something more British.

Where would I be without you?

@Vossy - looking nice! What colours are you using on the skin? I ask because, well, he/she/it is mostly skin, and the shading/highlighting is very very important to not making the model look flat.

pah, that aint nuffink. I have paint from the original citadel paint sets. The ones that actually contained 20ml in a pot, and were round with a pop-top. Still working just fine, too.

So far I have used elf flesh, ogryn flesh and once more elf flesh. it works ok, but the ogryn flesh is really hard to settle properly

how about shading by adding a bit o colour to the elf/ogryn flesh? Im thinking a wee dab of purple or possibly blue (dark shades). Not enough to actually make it look purple or blue, but enough to tint the flesh a bit colder and darker in the shadows. You could then add a bit of bleached bone or equivalent for the highlights. just a thought, like. I find if you shade and highlight such a large area with similar toned colours then it can look bland. Besides, with a slaaneshi daemon, a bit o pastel shading should fit right in, no?

edit - i wouldnt use that shade all over, btw. Id limit it to be in the crook of the knee - where the tendons are, under the armpits, the underside of the boobs, and the underside of the chin and nose and behind the ears. You could do the eye socket areas too, but youd be better off just giving him/her/it blingtastic eyeshadow (green, purple, whatever)

not sure how I'd go about doing that. care to elaborate? and it does sound like an intriguing idea.
