So I finally got the model on a Warhammer square base. If I am using a daemonic mount then I need the 50x50mm base which I don't have, and not even wayland games sell so I thought of using a Barded Daemonic Steed as a mount instead and this one only needs a standard cavalry 50x20mm base.

The thing is that when I put the model on the base, the wolf is really big so the model is poking out from the base very much. I think that there might be some problem when charging so that the base is in touch with the opponents base or when ranking up with his retinue.. This is going to be a problem when playing, is it not?

If it is.. I need to start to think about how getting a 50mm base without having to buy a new miniature.

You could buy a sheet of plasticard and cut it to size. It wouldn't be raised like a proper base but would take up the correct amount of space.

Making your own probably the best method. If you have the time to go to Tokyu Hands or a home centre you could also try getting some foamcard or just a thin sheet of polystyrene foam and cutting that to size. Its a bit thicker than plasticard.

Or you know, you could just buy a 50mm base.

Thanks for the advice.
Those Micro Art bases are awesome, EDIT* I will probably get some.

But the real problem is actually not the sides, the real problem is the back and front of the model, guess I will have to raise it more..

Ok, conversion done and 50x50 mm base fixed.

Thanks to Jus for providing me with the last essential bitz so that I could finish it. I ended up switching out the head too. Also did a lot of putty work on it.

Dunno what happened to that last picture..
Anyway, I want that brass behemoth +3 AS, what do you think about fielding this mount as a Juggernaut, Yes? No?

I reckon the only way you could make that look more juggernaughty is if it was an actual juggernaut. I say "yay" on the using it as a big snorting daemon thingy.

I like the new pointy stick, too, btw :D

Cheers!
Yeah, I wanna get it painted soon, but it will take a long time.
Looking at it it obviously doesnt look like one of the GW Juggernauts but then again is that the only way juggernauts get to look like?
Hmm, well otherwise, even though I don't like the rules as much I will field it as a daemonic mount.

Why not use it as a Juggernaught. Its the right size and roughly the right shape. (4 legs etc). There's no point in doing all that work in the first place if you're not going to follow through with it.
