oh, I split my sides. :lol: :lol: :lol:

but then...
SKE48 = Sakae (Nagoya)
NMB48 = Namba (Osaka)
AKB48 = Akihabara (Tokyo)
Its a franchise, like Starbucks. Expect TSU48 in the not too distant future.
Dude, I work in a girls' school and i didnt know that. How do you come by such information, hmmn?

One of my previous students was a music snob. As part of his course he had to give several short speeches upon which I would grade him. One of his speeches was about how pop music was ruining good music for everyone and he cited AKB as being one of the worst bands for this listing their franchises and their dodgy sales techniques to promote their singles. E.g. Each single contains a ticket allowing you to meet one member of the group and say hello and maybe shake her hand. All the fan-boys bought 10 copies or more so they could meet all their favourite girls, catapulting sales through the roof and preventing any real bands from reaching the number 1 spot.

So thats why there are so many of them. Though you gotta admit, you have to give the fans some reason to actually buy a single instead of just copying it off the internet.

Now everyone stop! We are soooo off topic!
