Golden Week Progress Report

Well, I painted today for about 14 hrs.

Now imagine NOT having an airbrush.
Batch painting sucks a great deal. When its all over and done with though, you'll feel much better, I promise.

Thats it. All done. All cut, filed, pinned, glued, undercoated, basecoated, washed, highlighted, based, flocked, varnished (non-plastics only).
I am finished! And with 2 days to spare as well.

40mm Base Infantry - 8/0
25mm Base Infantry - 59/0

Reinforcements for someone else.
25mm Base Infantry - 12/0
60mm Base models - 2/0

I'd like to thank GW for providing such awesome models to work on a nice paints to do it with, Tamiya for their cheap but serviceable brushes, Kula Shaker and the Stereophonics for giving me some ace tunes to listen to as I worked and finally I would like to offer a special thank you to Miki Ando and Mao Asada for distracting my wife long enough to let me get finished without any interruptions.

I AM DONE!!!!!! There is no smiley big enough to adequately protray my feelings.

congratulations, Prim That "yay! Finished an army!" feeling is an elusive one, so savour it.

As for me...

well, I managed 1 and a half hellions out of my intended 3. The 1 was the baron, mind you, and at least now Im settled on a scheme for my hellions. I'll probably add tatts later, but for now, its Gotharama. I also completely finished my ravagers and raiders (minus crew), so thats something.

*sigh* all I have to do now is paint 6 hellions tomorrow and I'll be done (except for crew, incubi and mandrakes, none of whom were ever going to see a paintbrush this side of Naghammer anyway.)

drat it all, why do I have to work on monday? daft schedule, so it is...

Last day for me to paint I cant believe I am not painting. right now... I will get to it now... just a few more models to go and a few bases.. the I am done....

well, y'all will see the army tomorrow, but to summarise:

2 units of infantry : 100% done
army general: done
all my vehicles : done
2 units of flying bases : between 30% and 70% done, depending on the individual
3 units of infantry: totally not done, but undercoated (and in the case of 1 unit, base airbrushed)
everything else: not done.
