Thanks all for the very good information, the pictures were awesome!

Like Frans said I would like to give metal a try aswell, when I was a kid I used to make pewter soldiers and remember how easy it was to just heat it up again and reuse.
Would these silicon moulds also be able to take materials like pewter/similiar metals or do they only work with resin?

No idea as I've never tried.
Your best bet is to go to Tokyu Hands and ask the staff there.

I have used silicone molds with metal and it works fine. Remember that the first casts will be bad before you have heated the mold to a temperature where the metal do not solidifies directly. The detail will not be as good as with resin.
