No, seriously. In Sweden, England, and lots of places in America. The folks in Arizona seem particularly distraught.

This does not bode well for anybody that bought it who intends to have it in his house in, say, August, in, say Nagoya...

Well, to be fair, you have to be careful with plastics as well. I had a friend who left a Whirlwind in his car in the parking lot on a sunny day and got some warping. I wouldn't be too surprised if we're talking about heat on that order of magnitude.

I mean, if you have a material (and here I mean resin in general, rather than whatever type of resin this Finecast(R) stuff is) which has "can be bent back into shape after holding it under hot water" as a selling point, you're going to have to show a bit of sense with model storage.

My games room can get quite hot in summer time, but as it never gets the sun directly, I've never had any models (plastic or resin) melt. It's mainly the humidity that makes it feel so uncomfortable I reckon.
However, I'm pretty sure that leaving models exposed in direct sunlight on the balcony would be a receipe for disaster alright, so no priming in the middle of the afternoon.

As ToD says, a bit of common sense should be enough. And if it's not, just fill your model cases with ice.

Hi all, as you can no doubt imagine with GW's announced terms and price changes this has been a somewhat busy week here at Wayland HQ. Whilst we continue to throw every possible available resource at getting your orders out as fast as we possibly can the rate of orders we are recieveing has created a backlog. Please be assured that we are doing all we possibly can to keep this backlog to a minimum and it would help us greatly and expedite orders if helpdesk tickets regarding the status of orders could be avoided where possible.

Not surprised there. My Hydra autocannons were bent when I got them. Straightened them out and then left them for an hour in the car while I was shopping before an Outrider event. When I opened the box, they had bent back out of shape.

yeah - this new finecast has plastic memory too. (dat means if you heat it and reshape it, youre all good, right up until it gets hot again, at which point it pops back to its original shape.)

why would GWs arsiness hold up your PP order? Or was it a PP order via wayland?

well I have come full circle not I am going 40k Radio talked me back in to GW products again... I will now buy every thing from Ikeda san and I suggest we all do the same... as Mike the pike said it was fun while it lasted.. but paying what most of the Japanese pay is not as bad as all that... I will surely not buy what I once would have... but for the life of the hobby in Japan guys like ikeda need to be on the same footing as other 40k Dealers...
