Vampire counts white dwarf release...?

Post by jus » Sat Jul 16, 2011 3:23 pm

hmm I think the new monster release might well be this here fen beast GW has put up on advance order.

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalo...od1250235a

The description sounds rather fitting for Vampire counts; i.e "driven by the souls of the dead" and "animated by dark rituals" oh and it also happens to have the unstable special rule...

A bit disappointed to be honest, I was kind of hoping for something a bit more vampire rather than gross. But then, i might be completely wrong. heh

Exactly how young are you? :o
The Fen Beast was released (originally) for a GW summer campaign called Dark Shadows back in 2001. Its NOT the VC monster, it is summoned by Druids to defend the Isle of Albion.
Due to GW's new policy of not giving any previews until WD hits the shelves I think it'll still be a week or two before it goes up on their site.

Here's the new Vampire Counts model
Image
Its a Lord on a Dragon.
OR
It can also be assembled as a Terrogheist! (Whatever that is).

Pics of the new Dragon, Terrogheist (A mount for a ghoul-kin vampire), Wraith, Banshee (it has been mentioned on some forums that they may have new rules.....), The Garden of Morr terrain set and the Herald of Tzeentch on Disc.

The Terrogheist looks better than the dragon I think. The herald also looks pretty dang cool. Darn it Gee Dubbuya, I was trying to save money.

The garden looks nice and the banshee and wraith are intriguing.

I can see the garden getting a lot of action from gamers who break it into its constituent bitz and stick em on bases, or just bits and bobs of terrain. The gheist thingy is very nice, actually - imo the best of the new monsters. The ghoul on top is good, too.
