That Corax is all kinds of awesome. Are you going to go for the sourced-lighting effect on both claws, or just the one?

As for me, it appears that spiders are my bane - not the riders, but the actual mounts. Since Saturday I've painted 2, and none of the riders. I got the bases done, and all of my Daiso movement trays, but that was mostly work to avoid the spiders. They just have a whole lot of surface area and not a whole lot in the way of interesting details - especially since I'm keeping the spiders' color scheme on the simple side so the whole mount + rider model doesn't look too busy. Have to step it up!

There were dozens of Spiders down in Beppu Dave, you would have been in good company.

I don't think you have to do too much on them as the rider will naturally the focus of attention. The one place you can go to town a bit is on the abdomen markings. It will also help differentiate unit s if you paint them with different colours.

That's part of the problem, heh. There's nothing to do - pretty much just paint 'em red and dip 'em. (At this point, anyway - I already put all the yellow markings on.) Dull dull dull, which kills my motivation. At least the individual little goblins have nooks and crannies to be careful of.

How about stippling? Give them a mottled effect before the dipping. Might make them a little more interesting.

sounds like some one needs an air brush... it really is cool that you are playing the Gobos... love the spider model to jazz them up you may want to give them striped legs.. like a tarantula..

The white looks pretty crisp in those pics.

The vents on the jump pack need a wash to add some depths.

Is it just me or does the raised leg pose make them look like they are line dancing :D

Other than that, too bad you couldn't do some shading
