Roctober!

New model releases, the Madmen package:

I know these sculpts are not as technically advanced and sharp looking as GW and other big companies but they have got a great lot more of character to them in my opinion!

I have the mad scientist to the left already. Then there is the henchman in the middle and the maniac to the right, which is my favourite of the 3. He looks like a maniac.

This plus a new updated 3rd edition of the rule book is also available.

They may not be as advanced or sharp as the stuff the big companies make, but they have loads of character. I would be keen to get into the game based on those minis alone.

Love the guy in the middle. "Walk this way."

@ Ennuii
Thanks again for the Strange Aeons game. Lots of fun. I just finished reading the evil tome that is the rulebook. My shattered mind screams in horror as it recalls the hellish visions contained within those diabolical pages. Nuff said. I'm in.
We need some terrain. Any ideas? I'm thinking of making a cavern scene. A stone floor, pool, stalagtites would be pretty easy (and cheap) and I can through my Mordhiem cobblestone stuff in there and not look out of place. Caverns can be full of anything from Saber Tooth tigers to Ghouls. Never a dull moment.
That laser cut terrain outfit Prim posted on the Painting forum really got me thinking. Something like that would be do-able. Balsa wood/foam-core walls. Either make it like a box and put other stuff in it for transport or keep the walls separate and stick assemble them with magnets.
Some old shacks/cabins would be fun too. Oh, and a well! So many ideas, so little time.

And hey! Had NO idea RAFM was still in business! This is the real deal!

This sounds like a fun game. Never played it of course, but any game that allows for character progression and where you can fight interesting bad guys has to be good.

I havn't played it much, but it is fun. I suspect there are some serious game balance issues between various pieces of equipment, points costs/effectiveness (meat cleavers!) much like you'll find in Necromunda and Mordhiem. If you dig HP Lovecraft, you'll dig SA.

I agree. It's by no means a perfect game, but I will never forget the day the amazon babes of Yuggoth fought off their tentacled oppressors. it's easy to homebrew fixes too (cleavers cost 1.5 points).
