It's a Hound of Scathach, from the old Rackham Drune range. The official paint job looks like this:

How do you pronounce that? Scat-hatch? Scar-thatch? Scathe-ache? Scath-ak? ;)
The official scheme looks pretty cool actually.

I like this, but I am painting a lot of orange myself these days! :D

Where on earth did you find that picture? Did you just Google 'Dead Fish'? ;)

@kojibear - almost. I googled "animal coloration" and wandered around from there. Did you know that the Flamboyant Cuttlefish is in constant colour flux? I didnt, but I do now, and so do you :D

@prim - ska-thatch, I reckon. The mini is, as ToD helpfully pointed out, yon rackham beastie, and I'm not actually going to use it for anything other than sticking on a plinth and looking mean. Pssh. Gamers

re: FO3 - with great bloody difficulty, let me tell you.

The official scheme is nice, true, but I kinda want to try a proper animal colour scheme, which (having done da research) tends to mean pale underbelly and some kind of patterning (subtle or otherwise.) I didnt want to do it as a tiger, or a lion, or any other recognisable earth beastie, but at the same time I wanted a genuine colour scheme that would tickle people's "real animal" subconscious. Hence the fish.

Ska-thach, probably. The "ch" should almost certainly be pronounced as in "loch" or "sassenach", not as in "lock". :)

That an original, or an overpriced CMON rerelease?

a gloriously heavy original. Proppa metal n evryfink. I juuuuuuust managed to jump on that particular bandwagon a moment or two before it fell off the road. I escaped with nothing but my life and the big beastie. I've since bought (does a quick tally in his head) An orc wiv a big chin, 1 wolfen, 1 worg (the rarer one), and one painted evil wolfen chap that I got from ToD. I also just the other day lost my self composure and bought the other worg (the not so rare on), a chthonian larva, a couple of evil midgets and a bloke with 2 swords and a swooshie cape from Ludik Bazar. The minis were cheap as chips, but the shipping couldve fed a small third world villlage for a month :(

Hmmn. Ska-tha(voiceless uvular fricative). Could be, could be. Certainly would cause problems mid game when the opponent couldnt pronounce the names of your minis...

"OK, I'm charging the Beast of Ska-thatch"
"the what?"
"The beast of ska-thatch"
"Im sorry, I dont have one of those in my army"

*edit* Holy Speedy Flight Times, Batman! Those minis I ordered from Ludik Bazar (dans le france, donchaknow) on the 10th, arrived TODAY! Jeezuz H Jiminy Jillickers. Pricey they certainly were, but bugger me that's some fast shipping!

Yeah, kind of. My army is based upon the Hawk Lords that live in the peaks above the forest, so greys, browns, tans and orange fit in with the rocky environment. Or at least that is the plan. :)

How about your elves Tenorikuma? Any plans? Share them with us. :D
