Ennui, how's your letter getting on? If you tell me your address I will send one to get the ball rolling. Currently playing this with 2 other players. One in Holland the other in Canada.

Sorry. Right now I'm backed up with changes at work, wedding crap, 2 translation projects and too much stress to effectively deal with any of it. Hopefully I'll get back to you in a month when I can be a more reliable participant.

Just a quick Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to those of you who participated in the play by post De Profundis game.
I received 4 letters in all this year and posted 8 myself. I have just popped the last letter of the year into the post so hopefully Steve, your 4th letter from me this year is winging it's way, or shipping it's way to you, if we are talking 1920's.
Some of you have expressed that you simply don't have the time or patience to play this way as it is too far and few between letters to get drawn into. I am in agreement and can only hold my hand up and say I have been pretty slack writing regular letters as it takes a good couple of hours out of any given day. I don't have any excuses other than the obvious ones so I would like to throw the court open and say I'm going to keep running the story we have started, (about a mysterious floating stone found off of Devils Reef that has coordinates to Ise Japan carved into it and an ominous date in the future 8th August 2011), any new players are welcome. We have three people, including myself who have written extensively so far so I would like to thank and keep these people on board if possible.
It does require time, imagination and patience but I think that's half the attraction for me. Also having time to sit down and pen a good letter is quite a rare experience these days. I find it relaxes me more than typing on a PC or an Internet forum.
Those of you who haven't read De Profundis it is well worth a look, even if you don't intend to play, as it really captures the imagination. Cubicle Seven produce it http://shop.cubicle7store.com/De-Profundis-2nd-Edition and I heartily recommend it.

In the meantime any new players feel free to sign up here or PM me and I'll send you details of the game as well as a correspondent to get started with.
Current players who have written or received post this year please send me a quick PM to let me know if you can continue in 2012. I promise to try and pick the pace up for the New Year.

All the best,

Ash.
