so I bought my first bust...

and it is an astoundingly good sculpt. It's this chap here, name of Octopus, by JMD minis.

when painted properly, he looks like this.

Now, having seen that paint job before (and there's also a really good purple version that I cant seem to find just now) I know this mini can look very good. BUT...

Er, why did you buy something that small, surely busts should be, I dunno, bustier?

Looks like something different to paint at any rate. Or something else to languish at the bottom of your "to paint box" whichever is easier. :D

well its not like Id seen it in person before - how was I to know how teeny he was? I think, actually, all the busts you see on CMoN and suchlike are actually that size. Makes you realise how good the paint jobs are. Besides, I bought it cos I liek the model, not because of any size expectations. It'll be fun to paint, I reckon. I need to ponder a bit about what kind of colours n stuff to do him, mind you...
