Yeah, Biohazard is ok, but it has some gaping plot holes.
e.g. The Umbrella Corp seem determined to weaponise the zombie virus. WHY? They already wiped out the human race. Who could the possibly sell it to or use it against?
With said demise of the human race on a global level, money is essentially worthless, so why do all the Umbrella Corp minions keep working for their obviously insane bosses. Surely they would be better off turning their guns on the guys who want to keep making more and better zombies rather than just mindlessly following orders until miss Jovovovovovich kills them.

The three musketeers looks ok, but until someone does a movie remake of Dog-tanian and the Three Muske-hounds I'm not going to get all excited. :D

Not just you, I like her too. :) But yes, I really only liked number 1 of the Resident Evil series. I prefer The Fifth Element.

You're obviously watching these movies wrong :D It's all about the blingdakka, dude. Plot? Story? Continuity? Irrelevant. Show me the Blingdakka!*

Much like Underworld, actually. I'm quite keen to see the new one...

Oh, and does anybody know what the hell the point of the new spiderman movie is? I mean, surely we got the Toby Macquire one just a few years ago? Do we need a reboot of the reboot?

*Speaking of which, Immortals looks pretty dang Blingchoppy. Lots of slomo swish-boot-chop-flying-nyaaaaargh-through-the-air-impale-the-bad-guys-whilst-in-a-billowy-cloak malarky :D

Wanting to reminisce, I watched a Jean Claude Van Damme movie, a new one mind you, called Assination Games. I must say, while Jean Claude looks older, he is certainly not a bad actor - not great, but not bad at all.

What is it, exactly, that she does? The 5th Element was good, but the Resident Evil movies (did they get renamed in Japan?) started out mediocre and got steadily worse.

The thing is, the RE films had insufficient cool to make up for the lack of plot and characterisation. It's the same problem Priest had. You can put in all the OTT stunts you want, but the premise of the film is so terrible and ill-thought-out that none of the cool matters.

On the other hand, Ghostbusters just got a big-screen rerelease here. Woohoo!

They were originally called Biohazard (the games, too) but had to be renamed in Europe and America cos of the metal band Biohazard kicking up a stink about it. Oh, and Biohazard is the only series of movies based in computer games that has had steadily increasing profits with each successive sequel. You can check imdb if you don't believe me, but it's gone from about 100m to 300m per movie. (that's sales. Later movies cost a bit more, too. Resi 1 cost 33m, 2 and 3 cost 45m, and 4 cost 60m. Clearly the movie studios have more faith in em than you do :)

Never seen Priest, but I thought the resi movies were not completely terrible, plot-wise. They've done well to move away from the games' timeline and kinda do their own thing while maintaining the feel of the games.
