Boardgames Nights at Mondo Books
Re: Boardgames Nights at Mondo Books
I'm sure we can make a table solution happen, but this time we should just make do. If we are all there, with the store and the staff, I think we could plan arrangements better. I am willing to even invest some money into tables to help support this, but again I think we can't say much more then suggest options on this forum.
By the way, for BB and board games we would just need coffee tables right? I think that would probably arrange well with their atmosphere of the store. Yet if we want something more ambitious and expansive like for tabletop skirmish and war games, what do you think would work well for our needs and theirs?

FRIDAY 9th.
Who is coming? How many? Let's make it BIG this time - I just want to organize things better this time... we have tables this time also. Please tell your friends and feel free to copy/paste this on other forums.
EVENT START at 17.30 and ENDS at 11.00 (but I'll struggle to make it last longer - can't promise though... Hard Core people, like me, could continue gaming at Denny's)
ADMISSION FEE 500 Hundred Yen. 2 FREE COFFEES, 20% OFF on any purchase throughout the event (not on food or drinks). Soft drinks, more coffee, pop corn and other gamers junk available.
QUESTION: What games do you wanna play/take with you?
I can host:
Cosmic Encounters
Dungeon Quest
Once Upon a Time
Carcassonne (and many expansions)
Battletech
Star Warriors
Primordial Soup
Dungeoneer
Fearsome Floors
Advanced Space Crusade
Any requests?
What are you taking with you?
For any enquiry, you can also call me on the phone.
P.S. What about a Night on December 16th? Somebody interested?
See you!

I'll be down on the 9th to help celebrate G.I.'s B-day and kickoff some blood bowl.
As for the 16th, I can't most likely. How about any dates in January? It helps if I can plan for things a month early.

Dec. 9 -- Gaming in Nagoya
I'll be there on the 9th. Thanks for getting the table issue is being sorted out.
I mainly want to play Blood Bowl. I'll bring my board and a couple of extra teams for people who'd like to give the game a try.
Also bringing:
Magic the Gathering -- Draft box
7 Wonders (a very fun but easy-to-learn board game for 3-7 players that plays in 30 minutes)

That's great. I just received a call from Jose... he's at Khama to buy stuff for making tables. (I guess that 70x70 is enough for a medium sized, 4 people, game).ennui wrote:I'm still planning on coming.
Great guys. Also, check our blog for other events we are organizing (like potluck party etc.)
Check it out!

I will be there, too
Re: Boardgames Nights at Mondo Books
Looks like I've got a business trip to Shizuoka tomorrow but I should be back and ready to play by 8:00 or so. My wife wants to come and is looking to play some ticket to ride. Hopefully someone will be interested in playing with her because she's not interested in war games or anything with too much violence... (Cthulhu is ok though)
