New Year's Resolutions

Post by Primarch » Sun Jan 01, 2012 3:58 am

Well, it is the start of the year and time to start making resolutions that we will forget about in a week or so.

For me my resolution is simple.
Stop buying models.
I have a tonne of stuff to get done and at the rate I am going I would have even more to do by the end of 2012.
There are some caveats to this resolution though.
1. Terrain is exempt as I do need some specific things.
2. Limited edition minis are exempt. Kabuki have 3 new not-a-primarch models on their workbench at the moment. As there is no guarantee I could buy them at a later date, I will buy them this year.
3. Any models I have already promised to buy from folks (Colonel Voss) are exempt as I planned to buy them last year.
4. Models that come with a rulebook are exempt, e.g. starter sets for new editions.

I think that covers all my bases. Now watch GW, Wyrd, Privateer and Warlord release a tonne of good stuff this year.

my thoughts spring to 6th ed 40k. You know theres gonna be new space marine and CSM stuff in there. Dark eldar voidravens are gonna be an issue, too...

as for me, my resolution is:

find a balance between hobby stuff, home (baby) stuff, and work.

and try to maintain my Spevna stance (MiJ variant)
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

I want to start running again. I would like to run 1km in under 4 minutes.

I'm going to lift kettlbells everyday.

I want to make a big net in my mountain of metal orks.

Want to get my exercise sets up to 14 (will go up to 9 tonight) by the years end.

Survive the move this March with my sanity intact.

Get back into painting.

Put a halt on buying minis for the first part if this year and paint my models for FOW, dwarves, Napoleonis and Epic (wait I don't own those yet... Doh!)

Create some space in there to get back into CSM.

Return to studying Japanese.

Take a few long bicycle and hiking trips.
