Fantasy Flight RPGs: How What Where and do they take paypal?

Post by jus » Sun Jan 15, 2012 12:59 pm

By the DEAD, Fantasy flight games stuff is tip top. I'm looking around to get some warhammer fantasy role play 3rd ed. material. Do folks here tend to order from FFG's website and have it shipped here? Any other recommended sites? I'm looking for somewhere that uses paypal preferably and doesn't ship you to death.

thanks

Mine was e bay if I remember rightly. The whole thing was about 90 dollars. This was two years ago though.

I use Amazon Japan.
You can pay cash on delivery or at a convenience store.

Alternatively, Maelstrom sell FFG books as well as models.

Hey Jus, I have 3rd edition and was planning to run it on the Sunday evening at the rpg festival. 5 - 8 ish.
If you fancy GMing instead of me by all means get involved as I would love to try this new system as a player too. Either is good. Save your self some money and use my copy to see if you like it first maybe. I have to say it is fairly rule heavy compared to the previous editions that's why I have hesitated to run it so far. I'd be happy to be a player for it though. Let me know if you would like to run something. :)

Just been having a second read through of the rules and creating some characters for players in March. It's definitely different to other systems and has lots of interesting elements like party tension, different stances for characters and an initiative metre for combat. This is quite a fair review even though the guy is a little boring and you might need to turn the volume up.

I have enough cards in the core set for three players but if we share cards we could stretch to six. I'll make copies.

This was seminar given on it at Gen con a few years ago. I'm really looking forward to trying this dice pool storytelling system and the party tension metre. I'll be busy after the rpg festival with baby and family life so I wont be able to run anything big with this system but if you like it Jus, you should definitely hold a monthly game. Whoever shows up gets to play kind of thing. I think this new edition is a lot better than perhaps it first sounds. D and D 4th edition it ain't.

I've heard really good things about WHFRP's dice pool system. If I wasn't running a game on the other day I'd be all over taking part!
