I think the FW guys can put aside their special rules until after the 750 point tournament and enjoy them in plenty of pick up games.
Leaked 6th Ed Rules?
Re: Leaked 6th Ed Rules?
I'm with Prim. I think it is fine and fun to have FW stuff in just pick up games. There is nothing on the stake and the idea is to enjoy things. But, FW stuff that bring new rules into the game, many of them just experimental and tentative without any significant rigor of rules testing, it brings an element of potential headaches. First, people are going to be wondering what it does, and demand a set of rules (that are not generally available- how many people own Imperial Armor books?) so they can understand it. And what if there are rule issues? These things are not covered in FAQs or written to be aligned with the latest generation of the rules (although I begin to roll my eyes at what I am writing when I think of GW
).

Re: Leaked 6th Ed Rules?
Beasts of War say it is officially an unofficial ruleset made by GW, but given that they are a bunch of muppets who cant even assemble models correctly when they are reviewing them (If you can call "This is the bestest model evveeerrr!!" a review), I think it is safe to assume that they know as much or as little as anyone else.Admiral-Badruck wrote:And about the 6th ed rules? Effectively no-one but the person/company who wrote it know how legit it is. Some people have tried playing it and say it is fun and different.
Only time will tell.

Well to me it sounds a lot like the editing of the codex project. Most of the small changes are very much the same as the ideas mentioned on the codex project pod cast several months back.
