Joshin February.

Post by ashmie » Sun Jan 29, 2012 1:00 pm

I know most of you probably gamed today but thought I'd get my request in early for next month.

Prim if you have time I'd like to play Black Powder in the morning. Same force I used before plus one large unit of Prussian line infantry and supporting Jagers as skirmishers.

I'll prepare a scenario. How about following on from our last game with Admiral and have Prussia attempt a fighting retreat from the 95th Rifles and the Red coats, off the board from those rather nice houses they claimed previously to the furthest table edge.
I'll probably use the fighting withdrawl scenario from the book as a guideline. In terms of making it balanced we should discuss if I get all my units straight away or not. Perhaps have continuity and have my line infantry turn up later. You should have all of yours arrived already I reckon.

Afternoon: I know the campaign for fantasy is due to start in March but I'd love to get my first game in for the end of Feb if it's ok. Not sure how available I'll be after May to come to Nagoya so would love to play someone at least once for this campaign in the afternoon if there is anyone willing to take the challenge. I'm playing The 'Orrible lot of Crove Crag. O and G.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Its a shame I missed out today, I'm looking forward to the next game day. I'm going to try my best to make it, and it'd be cool to play Malifaux, Warmahordes, Dystopian Wars or of course Strange Aeons. I've got enough models to run demos of any of the above, except warmachine.

Hey Ash.
Sounds good. This means I have 2 games scheduled already and the dust has barely settled from todays games.
The scenario sounds like a good idea. I'll be happy to try it. I will bring the buildings and the rest of the terrain along. I will email you with my list of available units closer to the day as I want to TRY and get some more stuff put together.

Looking forward to it.

@Prim, Ok I'll get working on it. Looking forward to seeing the Prussian Perry models on the tabletop.
@Ten: Ok great lets do battle and get the first of the warhammer fantasy campaign battles played. I'm really inspired to use my Orcs now. Before they were just orcs now they have a back story and are named it makes it all the more fun to get them fighting.

I've gone from no deadlines to many.
Paint a Goblin warboss on a chariot.
Paint a Black Orc Warboss on a boar.
Paint a unit of Prussian Line Infantry plus skirmish unit of Jagers.

Aghhhhh. No dipping this time, I want to take my time a bit more.

Itakura-san picked up a copy of Strange Aeons and has a cool Philip Marlowe looking guy to start a Threshold list.

Alas, I won't be able to make it. Ash's thing is the next week, and 2 weeks of all-day gaming in a row would spend a lot of my gaming capital with my wife, heh.
Feel free to call me Dave!
