AND I believe you are right ;)

Slightly back on topic.

I actually think that the list Voss posted looks quite fun to play but I also think it would get mangled by one of the Admirals hordes for all the reasons M_I_J posted. But, like you and Voss, I have next to no knowledge about the Eldar so I guess the proof will be in the playing.

6 units capable of putting out multiple strength 6 shots (3 of them at long range) should shred most ork vehicles. The three warwalker squadrons are capable of taking down a 30 ork mob a turn. With Doom the two avenger squads can manage the same. Warpspiders and bikes provide support to mop units up and the Avatar and Scorpions counter assault anything that gets close.
this looks good I will put it to the test... and we will see if it is all it is cracked up to be...

It may well reek of ricotta, pong of parmigiano, whiff of wensleydale, and stink of stilton BUT it stands a good chance of getting the job done. And cheesiness, or lack thereof, was never a stipulation.

Suck it greeny!!! :D

Orthodox, as in standard tactics such as the ones Prim pointed out. They emphasis certain units such as aspect warriors, jet bikes, seer councils, dual autarchs on jet bikes and specific tank builds. Many of these are based on the consensus of what the net considers a good list.

An example of an unorthodox eldar list is a full foot eldar list. No AV based vehicles at all.

Another list I saw that worked was a pack hunter group. All heavy weapons grouped into a pack and all elites grouped into a pack, all heavies grouped into a pack, and all fast attack grouped into a pack. It's been a while so I don7t remember the list or how he worked it.
It's easy to die in the swamp. What's hard is to staying dead.

One of the more prolific eldar bloggers would disagree..... It would be fun to play against.
