It's a thought! Especially if I can find that Necron Day-Glo green shade.Primarch wrote:Just a suggestion, but why dont you have a look in Tokyu hands for some coloured plastic beads to stick on top of the Monoliths? I know they do bright green plastic rods so a couple of them would help bring out the Necron vibe on those 'liths.
Or... I do have a couple of the actual GW rods lying around, which would obviously work a treat - I just don't have enough to do a total of 6 monoliths. Have you got a couple extra lying around by any chance?
Feel free to call me Dave!

More than likely. I will try to bring some to Joshin this month if I remember. The Other Dave wrote:It's a thought! Thanks! As soon as I get the second unit built and painted I'll give you a chance to give them a good thumping with some Orks.Admiral-Badruck wrote:Nice stuff there.

Re: The Thread Where Dave Puts Pictures of His Epic Stuff
Well, with the upcoming Epic event (geez, I hope I can reserve the room), I've - predictably - begun obsessing over army lists and, partly because I want to spurn myself into painting the odd bits and bobs I need for the lists I've made up, and partly because I just like to do it from time to time (and with the wife and baby out of town I'm free to do so), I thought I'd take some pictures of 3000-point armies. At some point I'll probably make an event-prep thread with brief write-ups of each army so folks can think about what they want to borrow, but that's getting ahead of myself.
To start off are probably the two armies which are simultaneously hardest to win with and hardest to deal with for an opponent: the Titan Legions and Ork Gargant Bigmob. Very powerful, very hard-to-kill units which are woefully outnumbered and outmaneuvered in a game which can punish both things severely.
The Gargant Bigmob:

That's 2 great gargants, 1 pretty-good gargant, and 2 loota warbands.
Gargants:

You can never have too many!
And the Titan Legions battleforce:

That's 2 warlords, 3 warhounds, and a couple marauder bombers for air support.
Titans:

Man, I do like those FW warhounds. I'd get more if I really thought I'd ever field more than 4 warhounds at once...
More to come!
(Also, the ash wastes paint job turned out all right on my Zuzzy mat, didn't it?)
