That is indeed a very nicely painted model. The new Ork jets look aces. The marine-playing side of me is very jealous. :D

A very nice Mephiston, a model which usually looks a bit on the...shall we say, sparkly side :?

Really tight paint job BUT the dude is still rocking a mullet. No amount of painting skillz will erase that.

's not a mullet - it's swept back, dramatic locks, innit :)

What I mean is, it's not short at the front. It's long all over.

That is just what he wants you to think. The stench of Status Quo still lingers about his locks.

Rise, ye olde threade...

I've seen a number of works by this guy SiviousPlay. He tends towards doing larger scale garage kits. What do you make of em? Personally, I reckon it's a level above what us usual mini painters do, but I suspect it's pretty subjective.

Yeah, not my cup of tea, but the quality of painting is some of the best I have seen. The skin tones are awesome.

Purely by coincidence, but the most recent mini I've seen that made me go "ooh" was also by Sivousplay. I'm now sufficiently impressed by his stuff to actually follow his link and peruse his site. Damn dude but theres some good shit on there! Some is a bit risque for some tastes, perhaps, and none of its is particularly cheerful, but the skill involved is unquestionable. He also seems to be a nice chap, as after I posted on one of his pics, complimenting it and expressing an interest in large scale minis, he PMd me and thanked me, then offered to explain stuff if I had any questions. Not something he needed to do, and much appreciated. Tip of the hat to Mr. Play, methinks.

Anyway, his latest submission:

and my personal favourites from his site:
