Background; we have started an escalation leage where 400 pts of fantasy is added each month.
I haven’t painted a single model yet but this is my plan; I will use this to get my high elves painted. The theme will be light and darkness. For light I will use white lions of chrace. The white lions will be painted in a very light grey, no metallic on the armor. I will not try NMM, simply paint as if the scale armor was painted light grey, same will be used in the lion pelt. Then a orange will be used for normal clothes. Some bone color for axe shafts. Later add lions chariots.
As for dark I will use dragon; dragon princes, phoenix guards and lothern seaguard will be this and they will be painted the same but the darkest grey that I have.

I forgot to reply your other thread. So, it is really good to hear back from you. I'm sorry that there's a bit of GW back lash in your local gamestore. There's been a bit of a one here and there was even one toward GW at my old game store in Eugene.
As for your Lightness-and-Darkness themed army, I like it. I've seen a guy paint a Life-and-Death themed army for Lizardmen. It was really punctuated by the symmetry in his army, with a saurus a piece and equal units of Life and Death. The colors were shades of white and black-grey. He was a marvelous painter but I forget how he did it. Anyway, I think you should be able to pull the project off recalling how good your Tomb Kings and how quickly you turned the whole army around.
It was impressive. Of course, you are back to work now.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you produce, if you can post a picture on this forum. I'm eager to see what scheme you try.

These sound good Frans, but I'm not sure about dark for the Seaguard? They just have a more 'light' feel to me, as do swordmasters and reavers. Hmm...another 'dark' unit might be shadow warriors or...not sure. Any ideas guys?frans wrote:

Re: My next project
This is what I am after, I will try out the seaguard this week but I need to order some more colors.
Not sure what I could fit into the light part yet, everythins except the white lions is possible to get into the dark.
Re: My next project
Nice. Good colours. Kind of like a sea green.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.
