Space Hulk Boardgame/Returning to WH gaming!

Hey, welcome aboard Naghammer. I've got 1st ed Space Hulk, a full set of semi painted termis and most (enough) bugs. Space Hulk is a lot of fun. I'd be happy to bring it to the next Joshin game day.

Man, that reminds me: I've still got my Advanced Space Crusade set (less the minis, sadly) on a shelf somewhere. I ought to make up pogs or something to play with.

Marines and Nids are the standard forces, yeah. ASC was literally the first appearance of the "modern" Tyranids, though, and they have a lot of legacy stuff - Zoats, Mind Slaves, "Grabber-Slashers," Genestealer Hybrids with conversion beamers, all kinds of good stuff that doesn't exist anymore. I'll probably cobble together some counters to play with at some point - it's an all right game. Plus it uses D12s, which has always been a point in its favor in my book.

Yeah, Scouts was what came in the box but they had full rules for power armored Marines and Terminators and everything.

I miss Genestealer Hybrids.
I played Advanced Space Crusade once or twice. The game is set as a boarding action inside of a Tyranid star....errr...... squid? The board was just icky. The guys at the FLGS called the doorway map pieces the "sphincter of doom". The scouts were pretty silly. Mohawks, moonboots and these puffed and slashed sleeves. Even with a killer paint job like below.

Alas , I don't have the eldar rules for ASC. BUT I do have the rules for running ork war bands
