Funnily enough, the whole "limit edition" nonsense puts me off. I won't be buying it now, so if it's unlikely I'll be able to buy one, say, at Salute next year, then I won't even bother considering it.

Personally, I think limited edition is a really bad idea for gaming models. It inflates the price and generally upsets people, Space Hulk would be a good example.
Limited edition for the kind of models you buy, paint and put in a display case or as a reward for customers I think is fine. The sculptors can make something very nice, but which has a limited appeal. E.g. the mini M_i_J linked to above. It is pretty, but it will never be a big seller. Molds and minis cost money to make, so by keeping it limited, the company doesn't end up with a massive stock of unwanted minis. Saying it is limited tells potential buyers that they will have to pay more if they want it, but that it may retain more value in the long run.
Of course, sometimes the limited thing does go horribly wrong...Dreadfleet for example.

@MIJ I know the feeling. I have often said to Keiko, but it was limited edition so that's why it was worth buying, and then noticing the bemused look on her face that reads "what a wally". I am still wrestling with the concept of renewing my pledge on Alabastar and toying with the Pike and Shotte order for late Summer again. Will we ever be set free?

Jetbike? Or Jumbo Jet?

Aside from the massive size of the bike itself, it looks nicely done. Not really planning to buy one though.

A bit of reflection leads me to think that a tau-ified version of that (and it wouldn't take much) would be extremely cool. If it had a kroot riding it? Heck yeah!

Does anybody remember a concept sketch of a tau jetbike that was floating around the interwebs ages ago? Or am I going mad...?

Every time I look at that, I find myself thinking "she's going to crash!"

It's a typically-for-McVey awesome sculpt, of course. Nice design on the bike itself, and I like the WWII US marking / paint scheme.
Feel free to call me Dave!
