Flames of War in Japan
Re: Flames of War in Japan
Mechs make me tingle in my special place.
I would have to go with the soviets if it were straight up WW2. If it was Weird WW2 then I would have to go with nazi zombies.

Mate, there are lots of WeirdWar games out there. Rather than clog up the FOW threads I will post them up in the Other Games section. Pop over and take a look

Spevna + tingling =
Soviets are very cool. I will soon be able to field 20+ Soviet tanks.
One of these days we will have to run a starter event. In a month or two I should have enough fro at least 4*600pt (equivalent tovabout the same in 40K) armies.

Re: Flames of War in Japan
I just ordered a copy of the North Africa Intelligence book. I'm looking to play sometime. Th only problem is, I only have one US rifle platoon, and one US Sherman platoon, plus one Panzergrenadierkompanie and one Stug G platoon. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to get FOW minis?

Free international shipping and a 10% discount. On top of which, the Pound is really low right now.
Or you can click the banner at the bottom of the page.

My British 50th Division is on its way to put an end to those dastardly huns. The boys from the Tyne and Tees will get the job done.

Hi there Fox,
Welcome aboard. I've been meaning to get in touch with you as Primarch told me you might be interested in WW2 gaming.
Anyways, I'm glad to see that there is another player who is interested in FOW joining our little group. If you wanna pop along to Joshin on the 27th a company of Grenadiers will be doing their best to hold off a horde of Soviets.
I will also try to run a starter event sometime soon too. Would you be interestd in joining in?
Cheers
Mike

As for miniatures, the net is the only way to go. There is a stockist in Tokyo somewhere but the prices are supposedly outrageous. Any of the big discounters are good. I prefer Maelstrom games but others also like Wayland. The pound is at rock bottom now so it's a good time to buy.
The official online store is OK too but with the way they set their exchange rates it isn't actually cheaper. The discounters also usually give free shipping too. The FOW is best for ordering small quantities or that obscure Panzer variant that you desperately need but that seems permanently out of stock elsewhere.
However, I wouldn't recommend the Warstore. While the prices are quite good and the service is legendary, overseas customers get totally hammered with postage.
