I feel your pain mate. I also mock it. But I do feel it. 8-)
This is the joy of bloodbowl, in a nutshell.

What I did today: More pointy eared lion riding burd. Today's action: clothes and base coat on armour. Clothes are still too dark in the pics, but tolerable irl. Might lighten em up a bit later, if koji wants it.

As you can see, exhibits A and B are largely the same pic. Only difference is the proximity of the living room light. Just to help you gauge the brightness of the actual model, like :)

and just to demonstrate the darkness of her bum (and other shadowed bits)

*edit* looking at these pics, the contrast lines between bits are too strong. Need to do something about that. Not sure what, but something...

@MiJ - Just wondering what her hair colour will be as that would influence the lightness of the clothing, wouldn't it? Wow, I am starting to sound like a fashion magazine! what I meant to see was we must take into account the various colours that will be employed on the hair follicles covering the cranium in order to ensure an overall harmony of colour on the miniature...phew :?

;)

Called ye olde poste offyce and got my package sorted out. Tonight, the Project: Advanced Space Crusade hobby log begins!

Edit: Also, discovered that Dawn of War II is only $7.50 on Steam. There goes my afternoon!

I didn't do half the stuff I wanted to do today.

But I did manage to get some more terrain underway.

as per usual, more lelith. I've kinda come to the conclusion that me and NMM have an understanding. I dont talk to it, and it doesnt talk to me. I just cant seem to get a handle on the dang thing. Kinda bugs me. I shall persevere, but until then, here's what I managed today:

As with everything else on this mini, it all needs smoothing out. However, that can be done later, assuming el commissioner wants me to spend the time doing it (it can pretty much go on indefinitely, can smoothing).

Hair is just a base coat, btw. Same as the lion's pelt, for those who care. I'm planning on shading it in the same manner, too. One question: I was wondering if I should do the hair around her face black, in a kinda roots-coming-through kinda way. I thought it might frame her face better than the blonde, as well as match the lion's mane, too.

@Prim - Nice bit of terrain mate! Are those rocks hard foam that you rounded off?

@MiJ - She is looking luuuuuverly. :D She is not one to mess around on or off the field of battle. A single flick of that massive blonde mane of hers and WHAM! She is one Wood Elf that lets her lion do the talking! Tree hugging? You bet! But only when the killing is done! :D

I think the idea of black around the hairline would be something that I would need to see to really be able to say if it is ace or not. What about a small black tattoo on her face instead, as wood elves paint magical woads on their bodies for ward (invulnerable) saves?

Those aren't rocks and they aren't hard foam. They are going to be hedges when they are done and they are made from left over pieces of soft foam from model trays.

This morning (and last night) I pretty much finished putting together a total of 15 spess mahreens (and stabbed my thumb with my hobby knife). Tonight, hopefully, I'll fix the sand on their bases and be ready to prime them up some time mid-week.

I cleaned up my shop. And tried to organise the model kits.
