Re: WitBP Draft Rules
Yes, thanks, I get it now!
But I guess you mean, "Side games may reduce a massacre to a loss, but may not reduce a loss to a draw."
rather than "Side games may reduce a massacre to a victory but may not reduce a victory to a draw."?

Same thing, just from the winning players point of view.

Re: WitBP Draft Rules
Hey guys,
So far I have Personalities and starting positions from Kojibear, Underdweller and Tenorikuma. I'm still waiting on starting info from Job.
Anyone else who wants to join, please sign up as soon as you can, it will take a while to get everything sorted out, so I'd like to get started by the weekend if possible.
Regards,
P.

Re: WitBP Draft Rules
Dear Mr GM sir,
It is with great pleasure after much thought on the matter and perusal of the rules and set up to announce that I will be joining this years campaign and will be bringing my 'Oribble Lot to the forefront and into the full spirit of the war in the Border Princes. Lets make Warhammer the game it deserves to be.
To my opponents this coming year, I hope for a well fought game. Wishing you well against the greenskins and may the best gentlemen win. All is fair in love and goblin green.
Ash.
PS: All that stuff about only playing two systems? Well yes, I know. What ya gonna do. One last time. Sound the battle horn for the Orcs. Load up the dung heaps.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Glad to hear it, Ash!
Now I just need to figure out my secret goal and write a fiction blurb.

Re: WitBP Draft Rules
I sent this to Job earlier this week as an example of how the secret objectives are going to work. It is JUST an example. Players are free to come up with whatever they want. More mundane things will prove easier to do. More fanciful ideas may be more convoluted.
The public objective is purely for bragging rights and fun.
The secret objective is something that you will need to do certain actions to achieve.
Lets say that you decide that your dwarf engineers want to build an airship.
Your objectives might be:
Build 2 settlements in the mountains to mine for ore etc.
Conquer a forest hex to gather lumber.
Conquer a hex in the open plains to build a landing field.
Capture or Trade 250 points of magic items to siphon their power to your runesmiths.
If you do all of that, you can build an airship and use it in your games. (Rules for a dwarf airship are in the hardback WFB rulebook).
Of course, you will need to build a suitable model as well...
It may not win you the campaign, but it may help. Plus a giant, flying ship packed with cannons and para-dropping slayers is pretty cool, right?

Re: WitBP Draft Rules
The starting positions are up on the map.
I still need Personalities and a name for the force from Pikey.
I'd like everyone to PM me with the starting positions and names for their two armies. They can be in any hex you control.

Re: WitBP Draft Rules
Nearly everything is ready, but I am still waiting on the following information.
Pikey: Warband names please.
Job: Everything. Your army names? Positions?
Apart from that everything is set and ready to begin on the first of December.
The map WITH starting locations will go up on December 1st. Players will then have 2 weeks to get their first set of orders in.
