Lol.
@Prim. Good stuff. I admire your dedication. A few people on here tend to paint a little bit of something all at once. Maybe that's the way to get through the backlog.

When painting a model always start with the crotch. A good mini fights from it loins.I have to ask - why only the crotches?

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Today I continued slogging through my historicals.
Painted the first layer of skin on 24 scots and 20 romans, painted the jackets of 24 british. I also put down a layer of white for some of the hat and leg decorations on the scots. I'm not sure what they are called though. You can see them in this image, a strap around base of the hat and two more around the top of the boots.

Re: What did you do today.
I have no answer for your question Prim, but how were the flags in the Victrix box? I'm thinking about using them for the next lot of French infantry I do.
Today I shopped with the wife. Pleasant. I also added some pigments to the new vehicles, prepared General von Saucken's face for battle (but no monocle on my model
that would be kickass!) and packed to catch the train to the frontlines in Kani city.

The flags were fine. They are printed on the back of the instruction sheet, which is quite thick paper. I just had to cut the out, wrap them round the flag pole and glue them with some standard white glue/PVA and they were done.

Re: What did you do today.
Utilized my time with my daughter to try out some sparkling glue in the eye socket of my space marine dreadnought and it worked like a charm. Almost cyclon like effect. Doesn't quite work so well on marines though for the eyes but the gold sparkling effect if pretty good.

Played FoW with Mike and Voss. Mike made an awesome opening move with infiltration that captured a giant points lead, but in the end his battalions didn't hold out. The German kampgruffe won in a grinding counterattack that cost many casualties.

The bases are Victrix, the flags I'm not sure about, but it all came from Warlord. I don't think Ikeda san can order the flags in though, I'm pretty sure they are a direct order from Warlord only.

Correction, you mean Heer casualties. The fallschirm suffered minor casualties in beating back the Soviet forces and flushing them out of the buildings with a flamethrower.job wrote:Hmm, (another) quick question(s)Primarch wrote:The flags were fine. I actually was wondering the same for the bases.

I also got myself a lot of dwarfs. Happily, the cannons are the old pewter design which is far superior to the plastic ones.
