Oil washes are the bee's knees, the cat's pyjamas and the mutt's nuts. Seriously - that good. They take forever to dry (eg a day) but the way they respond to capillary action puts them light years ahead of acrylics. They are excellent for weathering, too. I have a small number of oils (primaries, plus black, white and a couple of browns) and although I don't use em often, when I do I always think I should use em more. You need to make sure to get some odourless turpentine to use em with. I have a separate brush that I use, too. Just a cheap one from the local art store.

I'd recommend em, tbh. One you've oil washed you'll never go back to acrylics.*

*well, ok, you probably will. But you'll keep using the oils, too.

MIJ Shush. Everyone will start using them and then they will get good at painting.

I love oil paints they do take a long time to dry but they are very nice. Every thing MIJ said and more. I am finished with a translation job that has been taking up all my free time.

I use the stuff from 100yen.

I also use the stuff from the art store.

They both work but the art store stuff is better...

I bought mine in the local art store. Can't remember brand name, but I can check later this evening if you want. I believe any decent artists brand will do.

Got some more magnets in yesterday and I was able to put all the arms on my marines. Their should pads should be done today and it's armies on parade time. I mounted the stormtalon on a base and put the wings on the grey guard along with their heads. And then i put a Templar sm body front on one marine to serve as a sergeant or Sanguinary priest if needed. Looks good. Hmmm, what else? Fixed the broken lightning claw on my Huron model that came broken from forge world (of which they have yet to reply about) with a claw I got from a whole space wolf terminator sprue I got from ikeda last weekend. And based my Drago model which'll be used as an assault dreadnought in my army and based two sm medics. And finally did a bunch of painting on about 40 shoulder pads. What a day?! Only to find out that I slipped up and the tsu game is on Saturday, not Sunday and I won't need everything done. Phew.
The one, the only.

Putting foot to butt all over the universe.

I believe he's referring to Kaldor Draigo, lord of the grey knights, big boss dude and all-round general pita. (Well, speaking from a xenos perspective, anyway :P ). Big bugger, termi armour, bloody hard to kill, does orrible things to you if you let him. Best avoided, tbh...

@PV - I'm curious, when you say "...will be used as an assault dreadnaught" what exactly do you mean?
