Can't fault your logic, chief, and I for one appreciate you taking the (probably considerable) time to explain your reasons. You would've been completely within your rights as TO to just say "my way or the highway". So, thanks for that.

For what it's worth, I think in a proper hardcore tourney there is a place for a death clock, and I actually quite enjoyed it at the warmahordes games last year. But, Naghammer, although it is the closest thing we have to a tourney, is not really hardcore. Knowing the majority of folks that go there as I do, I think no death clock is the right call. There is, after all, always day 2 for the hardcore grudge matches

Well I'm probably going to be everything you don't want to see. I haven't played 40k in about 20 years, and have unfortunately not had any time for warm-up games (as due to work commitments I've unexpectedly spent more time out of the country than in it during the last 2 months) and am unlikely to have much time before NH.

While I do not intend to slow things down, I'll admittedly be 'learning on the run'. If this is likely to cause a problem, then I'll withdraw from the tag-tournament.

No worries Yellowstreak - I've played about 2 games of 6th ed, so you won't be alone in the "what's that you say? Flyers?" corner :)

This is Japan, if your clock goes off. you politely excuse yourself then perform Seppuku.

Sounds like we'll make a good team. :D Maybe we could get together for a practice game once before then.
