There is an important reason for this:

Incidentally, the new HE are available now on pre-order - and for bits of plastic I find them to be rather expensive. Are the prices even higher in your part of the world?

Yes, they are. The Phoenix is 7300 yen, which at current rates is about 45 pounds. The sky chariot is the same. :(

I still think that landing one of those flying chariot boats is going to end up one of two ways:

A: On water - the huge fins sticking out the underside of the boat will cause the boat to flip or be ripped apart if landing at sufficient speed.

B: On land - ......nope.....can't see anyway of landing and keeping that baby in one piece. Hey! Maybe they are one use only? ;) :D At the end of the battle the riders jump on to the eagle and cut the ropes, letting the boat crash on the enemies heads. Perfect, if not slightly wasteful. :D

They're elves, so everything is done with grace and style. They fly last a landing pad, the elves vault off, and while doing so disengage the harness from the eagles, such that the chariot flies through the air, skids onto the ground, spins round and slots neatly into its little hangar bay :D

Heroic Killing Blow!

@ Primarch

£45 - ouch! I would be tempted to get some of the new kits for parts if it wasn't for the $$$

I just saw these pjs on CMoN. I must confess, they do rather make the Phoenix look pretty cool...
