Alternative Defense Line

If, like me, you would rather sandpaper off your nipples than give GW anymore of your hard earned cash then you might be interested in these.

Necron defense line

Not too keen on the Necron one to be honest, but the Chaos one more than gets the job done.

I'd seen their APC elsewhere.

Nice, affordable stuff, although frankly I'd be worried about durability in the medium- to long-term since it's all card stock. Heavy card stock, to be sure, but corners are going to get dinged up.

I hear ya. I made a landraider out of cardstock and, last I checked, it wasn't doing to badly. I did give it a treatment of watered down PVA glue which offers quite a bit of protection BUT it is a chaos landraider so a few dings arent too bad. If it were an Imperial one, yeah, might not work as well.

Nice stuff and remember, light to carry. But yeah, durability is an issue. But for in house games, fantastic. Perhaps laminating it or a spray could give it some more endurance?

I give GW money about as often as I sand my nipples, maybe once every couple years. Sometimes I just can't help myself.....
If you don't absolutely have to have straight lines and accurate right angles and aquillas on everything an Aegis is pretty easy.

As for strengthening cardstock, black gesso. Great basecoat for terrain pieces.

Looking good mate. Im actually working on something similar. Seemed like a pretty fun and straight forward modelling project so thought I would give it a pop.

Bravo that man! Not only does he have decent defence walls, but he's done a set for most factions! Not a bad price, neither. Respec' to you, sir!

Those Mr Dandy spawn hive ones are just cool looking. I'd like to play around with those for neat terrain items!

I ended up just making my own using Tamiya and GW mixed bits:
