This really isn't the thread to be GW or big mini bashing. I agree with spevna that these big monsters should have a points limit put on them. Games of say 3000pts plus can have them but no less. Anyway, can rant till the cows come home. It is the way it is. And like Mij said, they are great miniatures. Can't live with em, can't
Iive without em.

Today my riptide went together surpassingly well. Very easy and quite happy that the burst cannon it came with is perfect for a Tau quad gun emplacement. Now it's time to figure out how to alter its pose and put in the magnets. Need a bigger drill bit.

Well, I finished the first round of basing on my Celts. Now I need to drybrush them and add flock etc. I would have done the drybrushing tonight, but I found a full version of the old anime movie Project A-ko on Youtube and wound up watching that instead. Oh well.

Got the drybrushing done on my Celts. I'll try and get them flocked some time over the weekend.
I'm kinda in a painty mood now, so I am going to start in on my Anglo-Zulu War British infantry. Hopefully I can get the base colours done before bedtime tonight. :D

Today I worked on the Swiss regiment and got some basic colors on them. I also primed half the Vistula Lancers and put some pigment on the Sherman ARV.

Just got some repainting done on the chaos force before dropping by the local games shop. I wasn't surprised to hear that GW has passed down a new rule that shops are prohibited from selling or giving away bits! Does Gw just sit around figuring out ways to piss off the customers and distributors. Rhetorical.

Wow. That might be the last straw for me. If that is the case, I'll be avoiding buying GW stuff for a long while.

That rule changed ages ago back in the UK and the States. I guess they just got around to it over here.

Not at all.

Target demographic is kids and kids love big robots and beasties!

Got to admit though, these wee lads seem pretty knowledgeable, eager and tech savvy.
