Ferguson did a good enough job of abusing refs, better than Brian Blessed or any other man could do.

The new Dr will be announced tomorrow.
I'm hoping Brian Blessed if it's a boy and Moira Stuart if it's a girl.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I heard a rumour that it might be Gerard Butler.

(Brian Blessed SatNav. As awesome as you'd expect.)
I've got the Brian Blessed voice for my satnav. Not quite that awesome, although "In 300 yards, take the third right and put your Z-Cars hat on" is quite entertaining. :)

Given yesterday's news, Peter Capaldi's cast listing for WWZ seems oddly prophetic...

http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0134922/filmotype/actor

I reckon he'll be good. I couldn't place him at first, but then I realised he played Frobisher in Children of Men, who was actually a character that stood out as being particularly effective, especially the scenes at home with his family. Apparently, he's also got an Oscar and a Bafta, so that certainly bodes well for his acting chops.

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Yes, the man can act.

Children of men? You mean Children of Earth?

Yup, that's the one. C of Men was that Philip K Dick book/movie, iirc. Bit of a mental typo, there, perhaps...

P.D James was the writer.

One of my favourite movies ever.

He was also in Local Hero - that was his first big role, IIRC. And he was Islington in Neverwhere.

If you can find it on Youtube, look for the clip of him on Craig Ferguson's show in the US - where they both lapse into incomprehensible accents and reminisce about dropping acid together as students.
