What? There is more than just the game room?

Last night I worked on my 12 pounder cannon. 6 figures and a cannon is a very manageable amount, especially when the guys lack webbing. I made pretty good progress.

I also received two packages of stuff. It was like a summer Christmas, or an Australian Christmas. :D

@MiJ: nice room and house. Lively choice of wood finish.

My wife and I are planning to go to Sakae festival today to eat junk food and watch the dancing. Ok, she's going to watch the dancing, I'm going for the food. Is there anything better than the grub you can get at a Japanese festival? I think not. :D
Painting wise, my AZW British are nearing completion, just need to wash and highlight the skin, paint the hair and do their uniform facings (regimental colours on the collars and cuffs). Hopefully I can get them finished this weekend.

A couple of weeks ago it occurred to me that I lacked a way to transport all my corsairs. Given my imminent house-move, I decided to do something about it. Two weeks, 500yen and a goodly number of hot-glue induced sweary words later, here is what I came up with:

And they all fit exactly into a battle foam case :)

The 3 empty spaces are for an Exodite lord and 2 more hornets, and are sized to fit (as I have the minis already, or at least representative one, in the case of the hornet.)

All in all, I'm fairly pleased with it. A whole, completely contained army*. Yay :) All I have to do now is paint em (and finish sticking the exodites together.)

*sans harlequins. It only causes trouble putting them in an army box, so they're getting their own wee box.

Nice idea, but some of those minis look to have a fair amount of space to bounce around in. You might want to throw some foam in as well to cushion them a bit. (E.g. The infantry mini with the long polearm under the viper looks like he is one hard shake away from needing a new weapon).

Well spotted - not much gets past the eagle eyes of Prim :) Actually, he's the one remaining infantry wip*, and as such his final dimensions are still a bit undecided. Once he's glued, indeed a wee tiny bit of foam will be added, probly on either side of the polearm. Also, he's the only metal/plastic/resin hybrid mini. All the rest are either once-piece metal sculpts or all-plastic or plastic/resin. The mono-piece sculpts can't break, of course, and the plas/res are so light you can drop em on the floor and they wont break (as tested by my Void Singer  )

*the Dino lord will be all metal, but again, he's not made yet, so his storage hole is empty, but will eventually have foam etc.

Started to put three more of these together.

Once they are done, I can run a proper Kan Wall :D It is pretty poo under the current rules but the urge to put 11 walkers on the table is too great!!
