Re: What did you do today.
In an unprecedented show of support, my kids both slept between the hours of 9pm and 12pm for 3 evenings in a row. As a result of this I was able to actually get in some painting time (dear god but Friday evening was nice. 2 frickin hours solid painting! I had a beer and everything. And fudge. All accompanied by Massive Attack on the stereo. An actual, proper evening's painting. Haven't done that in moooooonths and monthsandmonths.)
Anyway, I finally finished Moyashimaru's NOVA/IMEF marine chappies. Not especially brilliant paint jobs, but I'm glad to have em done.

2014: 5 minis done finished. Yay me! I already beat 2013!

The marines are from Reaper Bones. I'm not a fan of the material - it's a screaming sonovabitch to prep, but hey, it's cheap as chips, so can't complain too much

Re: What did you do today.
My dealer came through with a pack of green and grey stuff. Played with the grey this morning. Very nice. The neutral color makes it a lot easier to see what you are doing. Not as stretchy as green stuff. I like to stretch tissue thin flakes of GS to build up/smooth areas. But I do that only because I rarely get it right the first time. The grey might even hold sharp detail better than green. And it tastes great!
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Got some work done on my Adepta Sororitas during study breaks. Actually feel like I'm making some headway with them now!
(sorry about the crappy photos, light wasn't good at night)

Re: What did you do today.
Not exactly 'today' but in the last wee while I have...
Driven 2500kms around Middle Earth (i.e. New Zealand). Hobbiton was particularly good. A bit pricey but worth it if your even for non-hardcore fans. I also found that despite Boromir's warnings, it was rather simple to drive into Mordor. My son and I drove to within 5km of Mount Doom without sighting a single Orc.
Sold one of my Warhammer armies as well as a bunch of other stuff on Ebay. I did feel a few pangs of regret parting with my Daemons but realistically I wasn't playing with them in either system and they were just gathering dust.
Worked on my Dark Elves. They really are fantastic models, especially the Witches. I can almost forgive GW's recent sins, of which there are many, but then I remember how much I had to shell out for 'em. Oh well, I wasn't using that extra kidney.
Fretted for almost 5 whole seconds about the fate of GW given recent news. As long as Dark Eldar, Beastmen and Woodies gent updates before they goes to the dogs then I really couldn't give a ****. Even if they do, either, someone will buy up their IP and carry on the fight or it will live on interwebs forums much like Bloodbowl, Mordheim and Epic do.
And that's about it for the last couple of months.
