A bit early, the baby was expected on the 13th Feb, but all is well. In the early hours of the morning just after midnight I got a text from my wife to say that it looked like things were moving. I got to the hospital as early as I could today.
I needn't have rushed. At 8pm Louis James Crook was finally ready to appear, a good 20 hours after the initial twinges.
I'm glad us blokes don't have to go through that, or indeed do much of anything, other that wait around reading half a volume of song of ice and fire or something, which is what I did. I am knackered now, holed up with the in-laws
I know that in Japan middle names aren't used, but Louis James is what he will have on his British passport.
His Japanese name will be Rui, which is why he'll also be Louis.
