That's fine and dandy if you've only got one tank, in which case you can stick on a bright lance and say"actually, today it's a scatter laser". If, however, you have 8 tanks, 3 of which have 2 non-identical guns, it gets really fiddly really quick if you start saying "ok, that hornet on te left has a scatter laser and a shuricannon, the one next to it has the same, but that last one has two brightlances. The first falcon there, no, the other one, has a starcannon, and..."

And so on. :(

No, just pick one, and be done with it. And use it as whatever it actually is. Pick the gun that's most useful against the army you fight most often if you must. You asked for an alternative, there it is. :)

I magnetised one of my Imperial Guard tanks, but some things are more trouble than they're worth. If I have the wrong gun for a couple of games, so be it. As it happens, I usually end up fielding it as the plasma cannon variant anyway; might as well have saved myself the effort.

@job: That reminds me! Unpacking the box, I found some tiny bits I didn't pass on to you - there's a little widget to connect the dropships to the flight stands. You'll get some in your own box, so for now, don't go gluing the ships on the stands 'cause you won't need to.

@MiJ: They're pretty models! Git some! (TBH, I'd understand if you didn't, not lease because job and I snatched up the two most cost-effective forces to collect on account of the starter box. Still, the more the merrier!)

@Lovejoy- congratulations! He's beautiful! Mine looked like red wrinkled orangutangs with big noses for the first 3 days. Only afterwards did they begin to resemble human beings and become beautiful. 1 to 1 scale miniatures are awesome!

At least you get the option. 3 of the 5 loadouts for Razorbacks don't have the option available without building your own or, in one case, buying a Land Raider to steal parts from. Do you ever forsee a point in time where you will use every tank with the same gun? If not maybe you just need 2-3 of each? Of course, as AGP says, you could just stick the guns on that you figure you'll be using the most and be done with it. If you really want the ability to tailor every aspect of your army to table your opponent as fast as possible, then you'll have to put the work in I guess. :D

Only if you find hot flaming plasma death exciting. :D

It's a dropship carrying three grav-tanks for the Scourge faction for Dropzone Commander.

Spent the day with Koji and Pikey working out how to play M2e. It's a bit of a change from 1st edition Malifaux, but still a great game.

Returned from Fukui-Ken where wife, baby and her family are. Bought some plastic containers from local 100 yen store to re-jig cupboards and generally take an inventory of unpainted stuff. I won't list it all here, but yeah, there's a lot...
Plan to finish 10 Juves for a Dredd gang tonight if possible. Another day off tomorrow, will try to make it a productive day of painting.

Edit: Added a line to my sig to keep my painting on track.
